The Library Commons area is our multi-use learning area in the centre of the Library. The Commons is designed to not just be a flexible physcial learning space but also an environment for students needing a range of resources, materials and services, including access to a qualified teacher-librarian and support staff.
The Library program focus is the academic needs of all students. Providing instruction in a range of 21stC skills is very important. Reading skills, including reading for recreation is highly valued and a priority. A current and diverse collection, both print and digital, is promoted and very accessible. In addition, the Commons has 2 computing labs and 60 Lenovo laptops available to students when classes have not reserved. Many teachers reserve areas in the Library daily for collaborative or individual projects.
Parents are always welcome to use the library for finding reading material, doing research or accessing our services. We're usually open between 7:30-5:30 but we are always open for students online 24/7. ASK-a-LIBRARIAN>

Think "Internet TV/Radio on Demand". Want to know more? We think wikipedia does a great job of explaining podcasting, but all you need to know is you can listen/watch If you're using a podcatcher, you can subscribe (for free) to the shows right from this page by clicking the to add it to iTunes, or the to get the RSS feed for other podcatchers.
Plagiarsm is a dirty word. Cut and paste someone's work, and you're a thief. But charges of plagiarism get murky when it comes to artistic creation. Is “appropriation” — borrowing or higher cribbing — really stealing? Either we need a new word to talk about literary and artistic creativity, or we need more
plagiarism. Kim Kierans explores the issue.
