Tradition...

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.  -Aristotle|

The KSS Owls Field Hockey program has a tradition of excellence dating back for decades.  The successes of KSS Field Hockey go back to the championship teams of the seventies.  There are many cases of mothers and daughters having played for the Owls. The 2009-2010 Owls are recent BC AAA Champions.

Dedication...

Everyone has the desire to win, but only champions have the desire to prepare.-Anonymous

With leadership from dedicated Okanagan coaches like Arnar Bernhardson, Lorne Buna, Brian Demug, Pam Price, Ken Wilson and Cathy Pavlik,  and a host of other teachers, feeder school staff and community supporters, the KSS Owls have enjoyed a program built by dedication.

Achievement...

Risk more than others think is safe. Care more than others think is wise. Dream more than others think is practical. Expect more than others think is possible.  -Anonymous

The Owls have won many titles and tournaments.  KSS currently has 3 alumni , Danielle Hennig, Nathalie Sourisseau and Abigail Rae, playing on Canada's National Team. For years now, the KSS hockey program has seen many players move on to college as complete multi-sport student-athletes.

Teamwork...

I am a member of a team, and I rely on the team, I defer to it and sacrifice for it, because the team, not the individual, is the ultimate champion. -Mia Hamm

The girls pursue their goals as a unit and build friendships while sharing the memories that high school athletics offers.
